My Little Red Corvette - For Tasty One Pot Meals

Today, I discovered that I really do have a cooking fetish. I thought I may have, but it was confirmed for me this evening. 
 For my birthday today, I received heart-warming cards, loving phone calls from friends and family, a blog post dedicated especially to me, and a bottle of sensuous Vera Wang perfume from my darling husband. Birthdays really let you know how much you are appreciated and cared for. Today, I am feeling pretty special.

I was excited about all of my birthday gems, but it wasn't until this evening when I received my mom's present that I realized how much of a cooking fanatic I really am. She handed me a rather heavy box and once I opened it I let out a loud scream! My husband came running into the living room to see what I had received. Perhaps a 1 carat diamond necklace or a set of keys to a new Mustang. Instead it was a classic red cast iron casserole pot! My mom bought herself one before Christmas and I have been coveting it ever since. Every time I pass by her stove, I have to look at it and lift the lid as if something were inside.

I am soooooo excited about my new Little Red Corvette. Now I just have to convince my husband that his gift is still the best one of all!
